Property Owner Questions

Over the years, Coastal Escapes has offered Airbnb and Bookabach management services to many homeowners in New Zealand.  We primarily focus on holiday home and investment property management, taking care of every aspect that comes with managing a property in the short-term rental market.

Below are some for the questions we're asked most frequently.  But feel free to contact us if you need to know more.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?
Please refer to the details in your property listing as each check-in and check-out times differ slightly. It is very important that you adhere to these times to avoid any issues or complications with your booking.
  • Will someone be there to welcome me in-person?
For the most part, our properties are all self check-in either through lockbox or keyless access. We find this is a more seamless approach, given it requires no coordination on timing of arrival. You will receive instructions in your booking confirmation, with details of codes and how to access the property.
  • Who do I call if I have a problem with keys or if something is not working?
If there is an issue on arrival or during your stay (eg no power, water issues, etc), please phone 022 153 8608.
  • Can I bring my dog along?
Many of our homes are dog friendly, but we always advise checking the details of each Coastal Escapes property listing before you book. Also, if you are planning on bringing more than one dog, please let us know.
  • Can we have extra guests to stay?
Each home has a stipulated maximum number of guests allowed. You must not exceed this number or the number of guests that you have told us will be staying without first referring to us. The price quoted is usually dependent upon the number of guests staying. You may lose your deposit or be asked to leave if you do not keep us informed.
  • Can we have a party?
No. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. Non adherence to this policy may result in termination of rental and loss of monies paid. We do not allow our holiday homes to be used for Stag, Hens or birthday parties.
